Boston Whaler - Cat and dehumidifier
I built a cold weather dehumidifier from a muffin fan, two light bulbs, a pan of calcium chloride and some sheet metal. The cat seems to like the excavated Whaler hull... I should mention that I removed ~200lbs of material; foam and some of the transom (I weighed the trash bags; I do not know how much about half of the transom weighed, I started weighing it after I threw it away...). I estimate that I will be replacing that material with ~70-80 lbs of foam, Nida-Bond and fiberglass.

I am planning on lining the hull below the waterline from the inside with fiberglass cloth (I am using 18 oz. woven roving) and epoxy. Polyester-based laminate construction does lose strength over time and providing this extra lamination should mitigate any weaknesses in the foam to hull bond replacement process and polyester degradation (that is my opinion, anyway).
