Three thinned coats of Petit Captains Varnish were applied. Next, the components were sanded and two additional full viscosity coats of Petit Captains Varnish were applied. A final coat of Epifanes High Gloss Varnish was used to complete the finish. Where the mahogany components were assemblies, these items were further disassembled, varnished, and then reassembled.
