Boston Whaler - Reassembly
Now back to the original repair. I re-filled the repaired original capsule using odorless mineral spirits (http://www.kleanstrip.com/product/odo...al-spirits) and reinstalled the fill screw using the new o-ring. During the refill process, applying several 30 second cycles in an ultrasonic cleaner (http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tool..._200521388) helped to bleed all air from the bottom of the diaphragm. Before reassembly, I leak tested the repaired capsule by taking it through several temperature cycles between room temperature and my freezer.

According to Ritchie odorless mineral spirits (100% paraffin based) was the original fluid used in the model 15. You can also use Isopar-L (http://www.westmarine.com/buy/ritchie...20_007_502); however, it is considerably more expensive.
