The previous owner did a really beautiful job refinishing the housing in red. This compass was originally grey. The housing was wet sanded and refinished with Rustoleum Painter’s Touch 2X Ultracover Paint + Primer in Gloss Apple Red (Part No. 249124; http://www.rustoleum.com/product-cata...r-2x/gloss). The finish is outstanding and seems to be very durable.
