Boston Whaler - Seat Back Top Side
This is the front face of the seat back with curved portions attached to the upper portion of the straight portions of the seat back. Note that the top most 1x4 is screwed into each curved portion. The second most from the top most 1x4 is screwed into the top most 1x4. Also note, that in the middle portion, I filled in the spacer positions with 1x4s. The reason for this is to allow later curator (via jigsaw) of this portion of the bench back. I basically just thought this looked better than leaving the middle portion of the seat back square.

The next photo will show the rear of the seat back.

Hi Ron, I have been seeing this stern seat since I bought my 1987 Montauk 17 in 2018. This is absolutely amazing. For clarification, are each slat 1x4 or were 1x4s ripped to make them square? Thanks for your assistance!
