Boston Whaler - Bilge Pump Install 2
I decided to install a a bilge pump into this rear rigging well. The pump would have to be compact in size but, with a good capacity to remove water. The mounting method will have to be unique, no room or desire to drill any holes in this confined area. I did some research and found that Rule Pumps make a perfect model for my concept. For this particular model Rule makes a small plastic mounting bracket that I could modify for my specific needs. The O-ring seal in the pictures slides down over the 3/4 n.p.t. male nylon fitting that comes through the inspection cap. I use it to get a better seal on the cap with hand tight pressure only, so if I need to quickly undo the hose assembly for any reason I will not need any tools.
