View from Star board side of O/B. If you look at the lower inside corner of the O/B trim bracket you may view the 1/2 in. Hex head for the custom Brass shoulder bolt. Because of the usable area of my transom I had to mount the SternMate a bit closer to the lower unit's center-line. The distance I used was 10-3/4 in. from center and the SternMate's backing plate is positioned 1.0 in. up from the hulls running surface. I did a few mock set-up's to determine the proper mounting height and location for the assembly using information from the install instructions and online sources.
