The mockup was then partially disassembled to serve as a template for the final mount. Instead of marine plywood, I chose to use 3/4" King Starboard for the SS 15's mount. This will result in a maintenance free mount and will reduce the potential for hull abrasion caused by mount. The King Starboard was covered with blue masking tape to protect its surface and to permit layout lines to be clearly visible when cutting and drilling.
