Boston Whaler - Prop Shaft Assembly Installed
The prop shaft assembly was inserted and bolted into place using thread locker and the unit was filled with fresh gear oil.

Note: The factory procedure before final assembly is a series of adjustments achieved with special tools and shims. These include: 1) driveshaft shimming adjustment to ensure bevel gear B (pinion gear) is in the appropriate position, 2) bevel gear A (forward gear) backlash adjustment, and 3) bevel gear C (reverse gear) backlash adjustment. I was unable to check these adjustments as the special tools required are very expensive to purchase. When drained, the gear oil in the unit was perfectly clean and the bevel gear surfaces were not worn appearing so hopefully the adjustments are within tolerance or at least close.
