Boston Whaler - Vertical Fender Assembly 1
When you are docking and want the Fender between the boat and the dock in the vertical position, follow these instructions.

First undo the Strap from the Fender, then re-buckle it to the rail itself. This just prevents the Strap from getting lost while docking.

Then, undo the Bungee Cord wrappings. Hold one end of the Bungee Cord and let the Bungee Cord slip through the Fender until the other end of the Bungee Cord/Hook End is at the Fender end hole. Remember, you want to size the Hook End so that it cannot slip through the Fender hole.

Finally, wrap the Bungee Cord around the rail (clockwise or counter clockwise) the number of times needed to attain the required position of the Fender between the boat and dock. When nearing the end, just wrap the Bungee Cord around the stainless steel Hook End, as shown in the photo. I'm sure there are plenty of knots that can be used here too. Feel free to experiment!
