The C. Raymond Hunt Associates claim design origin of the Boston Whaler 16 SL, in 1990. Huntdesigns.com referred to the hull as a Boston Whaler 15, since the hull is 15 feet 6 inches in length, and showed a photograph of the boat. See: http://www.huntdesigns.com/documents/...uction.pdf
