Boston Whaler - Helm seat final assembly
With the cushions remounted I proceeded to fill the fuel tank with fresh gasoline. I only need to prop up the base cushion from the rear to access the fuel cap and fill neck. I discovered the Moeller will not take the initial 20 gallons on the first fuel fill, it will only accept 17 gallons and thats all the way up to the fill neck. I called Moeller about this issue and the tech. (Bob) explained: I most allow a period of time for the plastic to permiate with fuel and the tank will swell (and it did after a week) and accepted roughly 2-2.5 gallons more. It's not actually a 20 gallon tank as they claim but, its way better than the Pate fiberglass unit.
