Boston Whaler - Cutting Out Entire Floor 2
Here is another angle for all you that have never seen what an old outrage looks like under the deck. Talk about loosing weight -- every time I have it out and push it back in it is getting easier. This is the only real way I have found to dry out your hull. I have several more photos that I am not posting here if you want a better look just PM me and I will shoot them over. Pay close attention to the square pads located inside the foam areas. I have a theory that these are the real strength behind Whaler construction -- they laminate the hull and topside together. When filled with foam it would be very strong and eliminate the need for stringers. Pay close attention to my project as it moves forward. I have come up with a great idea for reconstructing the hull to be solid as the day it pulled of the factory floor.
