A mockup of the mount is then produced from masonite and 3/4" plywood scrap. The photo shows the sides (two pieces of masonite which had been tacked together) being tested for fit. The height of the mount is based on providing clearance for the bow mounted navigation light. The width of the mount is determined by the width of the bow mounted navigation light and the length of the bow norman pin.
The upper surface of the mount should be leveled fore / aft to match the benches.
