Boston Whaler - Ball & Push Rod
The push rod and detent ball are pictured along with the prop shaft with clutch dog installed, and prop shaft bearing carrier. Along with the cam rod and clutch dog, the push rod and detent ball control which gear is selected - forward, neutral, or reverse).

The prop shaft bearing carrier was sanded, primed, and top coated via the same process used for the gear case housing. After refinishing, a new prop shaft seal was installed into the prop shaft bearing carrier.
