Boston Whaler - Side Rail Drilled Holes
This photo shows both side rails. On the top piece of each 1"x4" there are two drilled holes that the stainless steel threaded female section fits into from the bottom. Note that the upper portion of the drilled holes is tapered to allow the bolt to guide itself into the threaded coupler. The next photo will show this more clearly.

Also, please notice that the "top" corners are all now slightly rounded. It just looks better.
