I am in the process of totally refurhbishing a 13' whaler which has a 7'x3' piece of bottom skin missing.(I will post pix shortly). My main concern is the console which has migrated to parts unknown. I have looked at many consoles and decided that the 13' SS would look great ,and I like the backrest/storage area. I have down loaded the parts manual for this console but unfortunately it does not have dimensions. Are there any plans/drawings that are available for download? And just in case I get too lazy where can one purchase such a console complete or in kit form? One idea I had was to use teak instead of mohoghany. Any input would be appreciated.
I do not know of any drawings for that model available at this time.
If I remember correctly, I saw the entire setup for sale on eBay a few months ago.
You might keep your eye out on eBay or, check some boat wrecking yards if there are any around your area.
Thanx Joe,
I have found this forum very informative.I have also had my spirit lifted after seeing the work that had to be done on other whalers that have been posted on this forum.
i have built one, out of cypress, if anyone is interested. has two storage trays, and allows steering to be closer to center line located. also allows space for depth finder etc on panel.
