I am new here but now wish I found this site a long time ago, as already, you have saved me countless hours. I have had a 1974 13 for 20 + years and have been limping along updating and upgrading blindly. Recently I decided to "restore" her. Your articles and past experiences have been priceless,, thank you all.

I am an auto mechanic/shop owner and have restored a few classics in my day but this has been a lot of fun as it is unrelated to my work. My 6 year old son has enjoyed it as much as I. I want him to have this boat when he is old enough because I always wanted one but could not afford one back then. ( I remember watching Flipper way back when and hoping we could buy one, thats how old I am)

Again ,, Thank you
Jon Green

Jon, welcome to Whaler Central!!

You, myself and many others have found this website to be an invaluable tool in the upkeep, retoration and basic learning for Boston Whalers.

Be sure to create a personal page with lots of photos. We love seeing what your boat looks like.
