I am new here but now wish I found this site a long time ago, as already, you have saved me countless hours. I have had a 1974 13 for 20 + years and have been limping along updating and upgrading blindly. Recently I decided to "restore" her. Your articles and past experiences have been priceless,, thank you all.
I am an auto mechanic/shop owner and have restored a few classics in my day but this has been a lot of fun as it is unrelated to my work. My 6 year old son has enjoyed it as much as I. I want him to have this boat when he is old enough because I always wanted one but could not afford one back then. ( I remember watching Flipper way back when and hoping we could buy one, thats how old I am)
