I have a 1972 Outrage in pretty good condition. I would like to keep it as original as possible. I am missing the saddle tanks and would like to replace them with originals if possible. I advertised on the "other" BW site, but the replies I got were for 1973 and 1974 tanks. Correct me if I am wrong, but weren't the tanks for the ribbed Outrages made by TEMPO? And unique to 1971 and 1972?

From what I understand they were made by Tempo.
Not sure what years fit what models.
I would like to have a good photo of these tanks to put in the OEM Photos section if anyone would like to contribute.

Yes, the optional saddle tanks first offered on the original Outrage were 19 gallon tanks made by Tempo.
A March 1, 1972 Boat and Accessory Price List shows the options of 18 gallon saddle tanks by Tempo or 20 gallon "Quarter tanks" either one of which could be ordered as a "Kit" or "Installed".

I have a pair of used saddle/qtr tanks from a 1971 21 outrage.I got them for my 1978 21 Revenge, but they are too different to work.I have a $100 in them and thats all i'd want out of them, plus shipping of course.I would have them pressure tested before i took any money.

These are not Whaler OE tanks. I suspect somebody had them custom made or salvaged them from another boat.
