Nope....

That looks something like a Todd seat or similar which is after market and not original.

The 1978 Outrage V-20 Flyer states that this model came standard with the Wise Swivel Seats below. Look for 8 holes in the floor for each swivel seat.

Option 1 in the 1978 Price List:
There was also an option for the Pompanette Swivel Seats. $239 each
I don't have a photo of these seats at this time.

Option 2 in the 1978 Price List:
Reversible Pilot Seat with Teak Back Rest. $400

No, that is aftermarket. A very poor imitation of the classic Whaler RPS.

Harry,

I can tell you 3 major things from the above photo.

1. The seat is positively not a Whaler seat.

2. The center console is positively not a whaler console.

3. The boat in the photo is positively not an Outrage model.

Did someone sell you this boat claiming it was a 1978 Outrage?

One thing for sure. It is a Whaler but a smaller model than an Outrage series.
What is the length of this Whaler?

Oh no. This isn't my boat. It's a picture I found on the internet.

Harry,

The boat pictured above is an old 16'-7" footer with an aftermarket console and seat. The rub rail is not original either.

No need to doubt Joe. Dr. Kriz has a PhD in Whaler Seating ;-)
