We are restoring our 15' 1978 Striper. Does anyone have any suggestions for replacement seats for the pedastal mounts? How about replacing the padded cooler pilot seat? One more question, any suggestions on purchasing/installing a bimini top - what size, dealer, etc.? Thanks!
The pedestal seats are no longer available from Boston Whaler. You would do better either getting them recovered or buying something that is close. Personally, I would have them recovered by Lois at Hall's Nautical. She has the matching material. http://www.hallsnautical.com/index.htm/index.htm
She also makes the factory style cushions for many of the different size Igloo coolers that came standard in many Whalers.

Check out the OEM Parts Photo section and you will see information and photos of many Whaler parts. http://www.whalercentral.com/viewpage...page_id=69
As far as I am concerned, the only canvas to put on a Whaler is Mills Canvas unless someone needs something special that Mills doesn't offer. They do sell Sun Tops (Bimini) for your model. http://www.millscanvas.com/frame_inde..._index.htm
Mills was the original Canvas makers for Boston Whaler.
Having owned a 1978 Striper 15 myself (which I ordered new) I can suggest you do everything in your power to maintain the original pedestal seats, they were great.
I second Joe's recommendation of Lois Hall and her upholstery as well as Mills Canvas.
