Hi, I have owned several BW Outrage, my latest was a 22' from 1989 ( a true battlewagon), Cathedral hull. Just looking to buy a used 2002 25' Conquest, any feedback about this boat. I have not been able to sea trial any of the Whaler's new hull (2000 to present). I will be using it in very rough offshore conditions, I need some feedback before I made that investment. Thanks
This "may" be the model with the "stepped" bottom. Look if there is a difference in the bottom of the hull under the transom. There were a couple of years Whaler adopted a "keel pad" for their 26 foot model and I have heard some performance problems with this design. Later Conquests reverted to a uniformly even keel from stem to stern as a result.
