Does anyone have suggestions for a good epoxy paint that would work instead of gel coat on the deck. There has been water leaking through the deck for who knows how many years on my 1968 Currituck. I am drying, refoaming (parts), and sealing the deck, my hope is to use a epoxy based paint.
I agree, Awlgrip. You can apply it with a roller and tip it with a brush. It looks like gel coat when dry. They have many colors to choose from. I found the color that matches my 1982 22' outrage.

I used a product from RHINO Liners (the bedliner co.) designed for floors and decks that is slightly flexible . It does not look like gel coat but it is non-skid and safe. It flexes with the boat so it does not chip off . They have a web site. It comes in a variety of colors also
I was trying to find a way to respray gelcoat to my montauk project.
I quit everything when i saw the new epoxy - polyurethane color from hempel!
Does enyone seen this paint?It's amazing! you can roll it and tip it, spray it...
i think i'll do the spraying.(if you see the final gloss with the desert tan color you'll
go nuts!)

Thanks for the suggestions. I was/am leaning towards an epoxy paint only becuase of their "toughness" and lasting ability. However am still seeking comprable options. The rhino lining and hempel are worth further investigation, and I'd like to see pics of ocwhalers rhino lining whaler! Whats the lifespan of Awl Grip as a deck surface, she gets a lot of use! I've come across a product called Armopoxy, anyone used it?
I hate to admit it but my whaler restoration has been pushed to a back burner, although I am always thinking about her. Currently I'm preparing a Swan 60 for a delivery from Maine to Antigua (my first big voyage) leaving this weekend. Lots to get ready and warm clothing to be found!
