Hi, other than flushing very well with soap and water after every trip out is about all. Of coarse when it needs paint touch-up do so. I spray on occasion a silicone spray,or wd-40.

I've never had to do anything to mine, other than a little cleaning and at times repainting

Thank's, she get's rinsed after every time out, and touch up painted seasonally, last year I coated her with "Interlux" (clear) anti-fouling paint, It's $30 a can but, well worth it.

I hope you used the paint inteneded for metal as the other will eat away at the metal without a good primer on it

Factory Zinc Primer, and Factory paint (Dealer), then coat (lower unit & motor bracket) with Interlux Trilux "anti-fouling" Prop & Drive paint (5499A) "Clear". Result's were Great, No Barnicle's, no Algea, no slime, just a clean engine after the Fall Haul. I had heard about this product a few years ago, I always wanted to try it but, I'm usually running late to splash her for the season and never get to it. Last year somebody asked for it at the boat store (reminded me), and the salesman said "Yes, and we have clear too", there was a stampede to get to the case by everyone on line, so I figured I better grab a can. I thought it was well worth it for $30, I still have more than 1/2 a can left.
