Rage 115 J/E Vro pump

Member Posts: 2 Comments: 0 Joined: 10/20/09	Vro pump is putting out way too much oil smokes and wont run. Thick oil comming out of drain on bowls. Is it ok to premix 50:1 and disconnect oil hose and alarm? Its old prob. orignial pump. How much are they new any way (VRO)? ty,

Member Personal Page Posts: 26 Comments: 0 Joined: 06/30/08	I run an aftermarket fuel pump and bypass the VRO completely in my 115 Turbojet. The VRO is crap, and I simply don't trust it at all. Yes, I mix the oil and gass directly in the tank. She smokes when first starting, but that goes away. You'll be fine doing that. VRO pumps are pretty expensive, as even a rebuild kit can set you back about 300 bucks or so.
