I have a 1994 15 foot rage jet boat (115 TurboJet) and it's a real pain to get to the hoses that the owners manual calls out for winterizing the boat. Does anyone have an easier way? How do the jet drives pick up water for cooling the engine? Is there any way to run red pop through the water pick up?............

Jeff, I had a shop do my Rage, but I've read about others who disconnected the water line on the motor side of the strainer and poured the antifreeze in that way. One owner actually installed a 3 way valve there so he could attach a hose to the free port and flush his engine / run it in his driveway, or just attach a hose and pour in the antifreeze.

Thanks for the info. If any one has is a pic or sketch showing what hose that would be great.

Jeff, I have a picture of the setup at home that I'll send you. Basicially it was a 3 way brass valve installed in the cooling water line just after the strainer. In one position the valve allows water to flow normally, in the other position water flowing through a hose into the valve is sent to the motor (the valve keeps it from flowing out, back through the intake grate).
