Scheech, think there are too many Engineers operating Whalers. Those guys on CW made my head hurt. Think i'll stick to my 22 going fast at 5600 with my E-TEC for whatever the reason!

Good deal on the comparison charts, that i could deal with! Smile

Duf!!! How have you been brother?

In my mind when I think about re-powering my 1966 13', I always daydream of running an Etec on my classic. Of course repowering with an Etec is a few years off.....but it's still fun to daydream about it.

Duf, I wish I could leave today and head down there for the weekend. However with me coaching TWO soccer teams this season, my weekends are full until the first weekend in November. During the Thanksgiving holiday the kids will be with their mother so I'll be free then.

Take care and say hello to Trish for us.

My dad and I went to the Tampa Boat Show today. We were surprised that literally out of hundreds of boats, we probably saw less than 10 Etec motors. By far the majority had four-stroke Yamaha's and the rest were mostly Mercs with a few Suzuki's and Honda's mixed in.

Hopefully I'll have my Outrage 17 back in my hands within the next two weeks with it's new Etec 115.

My E-TEC repower is ....done....! I can now stop belly-aching about being a sad-sack landlubber.

Recap:- Repowered the 18 Dauntless with E-TEC 150 which took an age but that's another tale.

It's so quite I wonder if it's running. I'm up to 45.5 mph with about 700lbs of adults aboard and I'll check my tach once I stop screaming into the wind. I am delighted I went the extra on the E-TEC. It's so quite flat out too. I can talk to a shipmate who is sitting in front of the motor - apart from the wind noise.

E-TEC lived up to the advertisements and thanks to all those that supported the decision during those anxious days - Kamie and pals.

Mark, i'm sure you will enjoy your new E-TEC. You will also be pleasently surprised on how little oil and gas it uses as well. Mine has over 300 hours on it with no issues (other then the self inflicted ones) and runs like a champ.

Yes, Definitely worth her own gallery/thread. Like a Pin-Up gal... I can see it now.

But where do I start?

The little flutter every time I glance her way. The sweet soft gurgling noises when she's really turned on? The countless sunsets we'll enjoy together? The crest of each wave as we whoop and laugh together. The sadness of being parted when she's being serviced once every THREE years.

Ah, isn't young love grande! I'm all-a-flutter.

Mark,

You might want to change your signature as it now says,
"One day I'll be back on the water"....
