Reusing Controls for Repower

You will have to talk to a dealer or maybe someone else here that has already been through this process. I know of several members that have used OMC controls on Yamaha engines. Check with the Teleflex people who make the throttle/shift cables or an Outboard motor shop. I would be inclined to change the controls over to the Yamaha brand as the Yamaha 704 controls are much nicer in my opinion than the older OMC controls. You can get them reasonable enough on eBay or from another member.

It will be interesting to see what my local dealer wants to charge -- I'm sure full retail. -- Bud
