Hi Gang,
I have a customer with a 1981 24 outrage single 225 merc. I'm looking for center of gravity and bunk locations for a customer. Do you know of any of these on trailers in the Los Angeles area that I can get measurements off of? If not does anybody have one on a trailer that we can send a measurement sheet to. (it only takes 3-5 minutes to fill out).
Were always looking to build a better trailer.
Thanks
Alex Whitaker

Alex,

Welcome Aboard.

I have looked through the catalogs and other resources and the 1981 Outrage 24' was only made for the one year, 1981.

Hopefully someone here will have this model but I don't know of anyone off hand.

Nice to see someone on the West Coast manufacturing aluminum trailers.

Thanks Joe,
We really work hard to make a better trailer including stainless where-ever we can all wireing heat shrink, Led's, oversize frames etc.
I will be in Mission Bay and National City today if there are any owners with a 24 on a trailer. I wonder what other years may have a similar bottom layout for the bunk placement?
Thanks,
Alex Whitaker

I thought the 24 OR was actually a 25. Someone said they called it a 24 in the first year then called it a 25 from then on. Should be easy to find a 25 OR.

katttfishh,

I didn't think about that. Good memory.

You are correct. I checked the catalogs.
The 1981 Outrage 24 is 24' 7" in length with an 8' beam.
The same as the Outrage 25's.......

Lot's of Outrage 25's around so that should be easy for Alex to find one on a trailer somewhere.

I was able to visit the boat in the water yesterday in San Diego when I dropped off a bunch of trailers.
Yes it appears to be the same as the newer 25's.
So If somebody can confirm a few dimentions it will make it much easier for the customer to make any final adjustments.
1. It appears there is only two strakes at about 65 inches apart, leaving places for the inside bunks at 26" apart and the outsides at 58 inches apart on center.
2. The length from stern to bow eye is 22.5'
Questions
3. What is the distance from stern to between the two tires
4. What is the distance from between the two tires to the bow eye
5. Approx height of bow eye above frame (appears 11-18"Wink
6. Deadrise at stern??
7. Approx tongue weight at the above measurements
I'm sure the customer will greatly appreciate your imput to help build a more accurate trailer .......as will we.
Thanks,
Alex

The boat in question is mine. Alex is all about customer service, and getting it right! Anybody looking for a new trailer should buy it from AB Trailers. I shopped around for a new trailer, and I got nothing but good feedback about Alex and his company, not to mention he was better priced.

Thanks for the help.

Rick
