Fixing to get ready for crab season and wondering if anyone has set up a puller. Thinking of getting an Ace puller. Had a 5 1/2 horse Honda on my last boat but I will not be working as many pots this year.

I have an Ace Line Hauler, made in Canada, uses a Scotty mount and plug in. Works great, it will do 100 feet a minute with a crab pot. Going to try a picture of it from a shrimping trip. The Scotty swivel base is nice to swing it out of the way.

Thanks. Is that a Scotty swivel mount?

Yes, fits on any type of Scotty base and uses a Scotty electrical plug in. John

The nice lady at Cushman's talked me into getting a 4 hp Honda powered puller instead of an electric one. I had a similar puller I made out of a 5 1/2 hp Honda engine for the last 4 years. I think I would have been disapointed with an electric model after the Honda. Electric are a lot safer though. She said every year a few of her customers lose a finger or two with the gas model. No beer till we stick em in the pot.
