We used to live in Barnegat, NJ. We go back every summer to visit friends and enjoy everything that the area has to offer.

Of course we bring the Revenge. Will be vacationing on LBI for a few weeks. Any WC members been fluking down off of LBI? If so, care to share your "hot spot" with us? Or even better... care to pick a day and meet up for some fishing together?

Thanks,

Norm and crew

Not sure about the spot but, I know that right now "GREEN" colored Fluke rig's are "HOT", at the "Bottom" of "LOW" tide. My friend caught a "FAT" one (see P.P.) here on L.I.

In the bay you can drift west to east most days near the BB buoy. Also you should really check out www.bhweb.com. The Barnegat Fishing Hole members are generous and helpful.

Caught a bunch of shorts off Holgate last week, and several off the dock in Ship Bottom. Drift anywhere w/spearing -you're good.

Hey guys, thanks for the tips... just got back in after 5hrs of fluking. Boated 2 dozen shorts between buoys 111-113 down off of Holgate. Caught two keepers down towards Beach Haven and Little Egg Inlets. Keeps everyone busy.

I don't remember seeing so many Whalers down this way... We saw a healthy mix of both classic and new Whalers. Close to 25 either out fishing or tied to docks.

We even assisted a 35 ft sailboat hung up on a sand bar. Through him a stern line and the twin Yamaha's gave him a nice steady 3200rpm's. Along with his engine churning in reverse we were able to free him... SeaTow was 5 minutes to late. He wasn't to happy... What's SeaTow get for a quick pull off of a sandbar?

Made for an interesting afternoon... We'll be down in Holgate for 2 weeks, if any one is interested in doing some fishing shoot me a P.M.

Jon,

Haul "Lil Nauti" onto her trailer and come on down, we will be crabbing on the incoming tide today....

Fresh crabs and cold beer... does it get any better than this?
