Why will my images from my personal page not delete ?
You need to click on "Images Upload" link at the top and delete the images from your folder there.
You will also need to delete the [img] that you have inserted into your page.
They appear to to deleting but I never get a completed webpage back ?
I don't know what you mean by a "completed webpage". All web pages are complete unless they are under construction.
I must pull up whaler central again to free up my browser.
Sorry, don't know what "free up my browser" means.
Can we attach pictures to a thread ?
No. Not anymore. Forum threads get lost as time goes on and so do the photos.
Some members thought that having 20, 30, or 40 of their photos in a thread they created would help everyone. Well, the only people that could find it was the creator of the thread after a week or two so it didn't do anyone else much good at all.
Personal Pages are the places to keep your photos.
If someone with a personal page starts running out of room because they might have a lot of photos for their page or project, we can create a project page for them if necessary.
These pages are easy for everyone to find and won't get lost like the forum posts do.
Personal Pages can be viewed by "Last Update", "Page Title", "Year", "Model" and "Length". This way the Whaler in question should be able to be found easily.
I did notice a problem with the way you were naming your photos so I fixed them for you.
You cannot use an ' apostrophe or any characters in the names of your photos.
You had several that were named 13' side.jpg or 13' sideview.jpg, etc....
Leave off the apostrophe or any other characters... ? do not work along with most any of the other characters...
The easiest to remember is ALL LOWERCASE, NO SPACES AND NO CHARACTERS...
Example:
side.jpg
sideview.jpg
If you have to use the 13, then try this:
13side.jpg
13sideview.jpg

You have to play with your photo's a bit in the "Personal page" section before understanding how it work's, keep trying, someone will always help you until you get it right. Hey, even "I" can do it now.

todd12,
Are you still having problems?
I deleted the photos you requested but need to resolve this issue.
You have 18 photos in your image folder now.
We have one other member that is having the same problem.
He is using Windows XP and Vista and cannot delete photos either.
I have no problems when logged into a regular (non-admin) account just like the rest of the members.
Any other Windows users having any problems deleting photos from their image folder in their personal page?
If you are using Internet Explorer, can you try another web browser and let us know?
Can you try FireFox?

or
Safari?

When I go to the image uploads screen and delete a photo the only screen that comes back consists of the right and left navigation bars and the header and it says "image deleted" and below that there is a link to return to the image upload page? How much of the screen do you get?
Joe,
I tried in both Firefox and IE and they worked fine.

Thanks kamie.
Have you ever tried Safari for Windows?
Not sure why some people are having problems.
Maybe different versions of XP or Vista?
or different versions of Internet Explorer for Windows?
Too many different versions of everything on Windows computers for us to even try and follow.

I think we have it figured out why some people couldn't delete their photos.
Awhile back I changed some code to allow people to upload photos using the captial .JPG against my better judgement.
That worked for uploading but now they can't delete them.
So, this has come back to bite me in the rear.
I changed it back to the old way.
Only photos with the lowercase .jpg will upload now.
These photos can also be deleted...

I'm the other member. I tried all of these suggestions. I have tried some sample photos with the new small .jpg extension (I changed the ext. on a few file names and they upload and post with no problem. But I still cannot delete any of my photos.
When I click the delete link on the photo upload page, the main portion of my page goes blank (white) and NOTHING happens. I then have to click the back page arrow and the photo is not deleted.
Joe, this is still the same problem that we've been p.m. each other about.

My personal page and my test accounts work properly.
I just uploaded a test photo and then was able to delete it.
EDIT:
I just figured out what the problem is....
Each and everyone of your photos has this in the title (Small)......
You cannot use characters for photos names....
You must leave out the parenthesis, commas, quotations, etc.....
Here is one title of your photo:
Upper Bow View showing Marine Tex patching (Small).jpg
I changed the names of all of your photos and removed all of the (Small) out of the name like this:
Upper Bow View showing Marine Tex patching.jpg
I signed in using your name and I can delete those files now without the (Small) in the name....
The parenthesis is the problem ( ) ......
