Does anyone know where to get a hold of former commercial Boston Whaler project boats (ex navy etc)? I see them on ebay every now and then and I have been trying to find out where (besides ebay) I could possibly get my hands on one.

www.gsaauctions.gov Is run by the US Government to liquidate their old surplus and / or seized assets. They are the only REAL deal. Others who claim to be government liqidators are just a private businesses who have bought government surplus from the GSA and are reselling it at a profit.

My father got his 22 guardian from the GSA and loves it. He has also bought a Commercial box truck and other items from them with out any problems.

A word of caution. If you bid and win an auction you will pay for it one way or another. There is not retracting bids or nonpayment. Remember this is the Government you are dealing with. Also if you are the winning bidder not only are you on the hook for paying for the item but if you do not pick up the item in the allocated time frame they can seize it from you and resell it. Then you are really SOL.

Here is the boat

Type in project boat in E-Bay. There are usually about 40-50 boats on aution, most are junk, but I have seen some Whalers.
