I am trying to get my 1994 25hp Merc 2 cycle up and running. It's been about 4 years since it's been running. I know I need to clean the carbs. But I have a problem with the old fuel in the plastic fuel tank. About a 1/2 gal is in there and it's very thick and goey. What is the best way to clean the tank. Will raw gas cut it and clean it or is there something else I need to do.
