My 280 Conquest has a pair of 1999 Merc 225 DFI OptiMax. (both with 132hrs) The power head on the starboard engine is toast.
I have 0 psi in cyl#5,
60psi in cyl#6
The remaining 4 cyls. are maxing out at 80psi.
I'm in search of a re-manufactured short block. Anyone have a recommendation on who to contact? I have done a search on the web and found a few, but would like to find someone a bit closer than NW Florida.
Factory rebuilds by in-house Mercury technicians (or those in training). One year warrantee. I think you have to have a participating dealer. That's all I know. Let us know if you check it out in detail.
