I just got a present from my wife of a 15 ft 1981 BW with a 70hp yamaha. the boat has not been used in 5 years and the sellers think the engine is no good by I think otherwise. The whaler is in fairly good shape but needs some love. There are a few dents in the deck and some areas on the hull that are scraped and worn. But I got a great deal and a great boat. I see the fantastic restorations done by memebers on this site but don't know where to begin. Is there a course on gelcoat repair and painting that I should take or have any members talked about what they have done in detail to get such great results. I will post some pictures soon. But I need advise in how to sand, repair and repaint my whaler.
