i am curious to know where others store their anchors. my outrage has a forward compartment that was used by the previous owner for anchor storage but the anchor beats it up pretty bad.

Get dri-dek and line the anchor locker, then put the anchor back in.

thanks. i actually built a mohogany cradle for it and mounted it in the forward compartment where it does not touch the hull. i also have a washdown system in there so i had to do something that would prohibit the anchor from getting into the pump and hoses. i didn't know if someone else had a trick of mounting it elsewhere. thanks for the tip on the paint liner. i will try that also.

dry-dek is not paint liner, it is a non-skid material, in squares that you hook together to make a mat.

See Dri-Dek Website

I used 3 squares and trimmed them with a utility knife.

Hi, mine is kept in the fwd locker as well. Made some blocks out of some left over teak that I had to keep it from damaging the inside of the locker. Found some shelf protectors, thin rubber, at wal-mart, and lined the locker with it. Works great.Smile
