Member Personal Page Posts: 1 Comments: 0 Joined: 04/23/09	Just purchased my first whaler it’s a 1988 22WT Revenge with a 225 Yamaha in decent condition, has some minor oxidation and needs a good cleaning. I saved for two years to buy a whaler, my friends and family think I’m crazy for paying $8000.00 they just don’t understand my whaler addiction, any tips, tricks or advice on this project would be great. You don't mention the size however... ??? 20', 22', 25' ?? Apparently your friends and family have no idea what an outboard motor even costs. A 225 hp outboard motor costs approximately 16k to 18k just for the motor. What are they thinking? Please set them straight. I would really like to see a 1988 Revenge that cost $8,000.00. I believe I would buy them all day long at that price.
