Tachometer for a 40hp Yamaha outboard

I'm using the Yamaha 703 series remote control without power trim. Can I use any tach for this motor? Also, how do I install it once I get a tach? I appreciate your time. Thanks. Model # is 6Y5-83540-05-00 There is also a version without the oil indicator. Model # is 6Y5-83540-14-00 For reference - Yamaha Gauge Page There are dozens of versions of classic Yamaha gauges so be careful you get the right one. I was kind of hoping to be able to use a a similar brand of tach that I have used for my speedometer so they match on my console. The color matches the newly rebuilt console and Tiger oak instrument panel perfectly. I'll research Faria and see what they have to say about the Yamaha coupling up with a Faria tach.
