I had some mahogany readily available for my resto to my 15 classic. To bring you up to date, it was laying on the ground at a popular naval facility near me and I saved her! Well, sorta... The wood was only 3/4 think and I only gave it 3 shots of urethane. I know now that it needs about 8-9 good layers. I am handy with with the wood and I am starting to poke around for some more sturdier 1" material to do up right. I'm a tall guy and wouldn't mind a little storage compartment for the little things.
Here is the question I have: Can I put a SS interior in without to many issues? I see that I would at least have to build the lil storage compartment to the floor.
I wouldn't do this until the winter since summer is about here and Rock Fish and crabbing is starting.
