I have a 1985 17' montauk. I noticed that the wood in my seat had rotted. I thought it would be a simple repair. Turns out I was wrong. I was wondering where I might find a reasonably priced aftermarket replacement. Will the newer model poly constructed whaler seats fit?
If you are talking about the cushion bottom not the seat back We replaced ours from Mills. Yes the OEM canvas maker and it was about $275. It was very nice quality and they used starboard for the seat bottom instead of plywood.

Halls was the OEM supplier for these and most other Whaler Upholstery. Their seat ran $240 but they use plywood as a seat bottom. Their contact info is http://www.hallsnautical.com/
