These are pictures of a 1990 13 SS Limited that I found for sale for $2,500.00. The motor does run realitively well and I know that this is not the correct trailer for this boat. I was wondering if anybody could give me some idea wether or not its worh the money? I figure that I will be putting in at least $1,500.00 into it.
It needs some CSC and some bottom paint sanding, has a great looking bimini, needs compounding, cleaning, waxing and new seat and back cushions, and forward rails if wanted...
After, cleaning and painting the bottom, washing and waxing the insides( compounding, I'd say this boat would be an 8 easy.
the engine runs, have it gone over....and all the seals done, and clean her out...last you another 30 years
The trailer can be set up right, if you want to save a lot and not buy a new trailer.
for 1800.00-2500.00 he would have a steal on his hands in my opinion. Rubber dingys cost 900.00(cheap kind)
As I have said before...
Blackdog would have a perfectly great whaler of some perigree vs a new one. I told him right off, if he didnt buy it, I would.....I stand by my recommendation. This boat is not wrecked, it needs cleaning and painting and can be used right off.(if the engine checks out) Has no wood, so no labor intensive bull for this boat...try and find one if you can...how many have you seen out there in the wild or in the water???Comon, this is a great deal...for him, or for me...
If you change your mind, write the check and Ill give you one next week...you dont want it, Ill take it hehe for my kid...
