Hello! My name is Gabriele and I am from Italy.
I am restoring a boston 13
I believe the boat is early 70's so she has the low transom
(25 centimeters), I also have a 1995 Johnson 25 hp engine but the transom is too
short for it, so I want to modify the transom but without structural modifies.
Can you help me?
Is there somebody who sells something like a little bracket?
P.S. the engine is a endeavour, like the evinrude elan, and it has
passing screws(is that right in English? ) can I make the engine
ok for my transom by making it shorter?
Excuse me for my English and thank you to everybody!
Ciao!!!

The "minijacker" in protek's URL will probably be the best solution for you. If it's not quite right search the net for "jackplate or "jack plate" That should give you a variety.
How far do you want to raise the motor?

Web Links
If you look on the web links page of this site you will see a list of bracket and jackplate manufacturers. Several have options for a 13 foot whaler.

Here are two homemade transom jacks that I think are as good as anything out there. They aren't too complicated and get the job done.

Thank You to all You for Your kind help..
Probably the best solution for me will be the 5 inch extension by Cmc.
I've also seen the mini jacker it seems pretty good too,
but I don't know if it could work for my engine, i think i have to
make some holes on it to fix the engine because it has passing screws..
Did anybody mount the mini jacker with an engine like mine?
Thank you again and see you in the water if you will come in my neighborhood....

I'm partial to this one.

It fills in the notch so water will not come in as easily when you stop quickly.
