I bought my 85 Montauk used a few years ago. It came with an older galvanized trailer that was in poor condition. I've had some work done, but it needs more. The bunk boards need replacing, the axle and springs are very rusty and need to be replaced. It's reached a point where I'm considering replacing the trailer rather than putting any more money into it. I have a line on a new Magic Tilt aluminum trailer with LED lights for $1,600.00. The last thing that I wanted to do right now was buy a new trailer, but I'm not comfortable taking a 400+ mile trip with the old one. I may go ahead and pull the trigger on this one unless someone knows of a great deal on a trailer.
