Well, just thought I'd tell you guys I just made my last decent purchase $ wise for the season, I think anyway. I bought the Garmin440S, fishfinder/ chartplotter, West Marine had it for $639- but matched Defender.coms price for $499- (Transducer $61-)otherwise I wouldn't have bought it. Saturday I'm off to the Evinrude dealer for the E-TEC, hope all is well...!!!!

Wow, great find. I looked at the defender.com website and saw the Garmin 440s came with a transducer. Is this not the case or did you just want another type?

I have been very pleased with my 440s. Wow, a new GPS and E-Tec, sounds like someone is going to have a great summer!

Hey Cliff, thanks alot, I didn't even realize it, so I called West Marine and let them know they quoted me for the wrong price because of the transducer, so they are gonna refund me today after work.

Did you indeed have a transducer in the box with your Garmin 440s? Which West Marine did you go to?
