I am looking at an otherwise nice Montauk that has teak painted with white Imron.The paint job is only about years old and was not done well. Does anyone have any experience stripping a two part polyurethane from teak?
I am very afraid that the white paint has gotten so far into the wood grain that there will always be traces of it unless I remove a lot of material. Also, Imron sets up pretty hard and I think that it will take a lot of work to get the film broken.
What is the possibility of taking the wood apart and sending it to a commercial chemical stripper?
