I have a drawing that I printed from Joe's old Whaler drawings site. It is the drawing by Larry Goltz. It depicts a full side rail for a Outrage 25, with dimensions. Also included are dimensions for use of the same design for an Outrage 18.
Joe, or someone with the full side rail option on a 22 Outrage, can you provide the center to center dimensions of the railing stanchions? I assume that the balance of the design could be adapted from Larry's drawing.
I would also be interested in the center to center dimesions, bend radius and rake angle of the smaller grab rail option.
I spoke to CMI some months ago about a railing. They told me they could make anything I wanted, but I want to figure out what the original design was, then make a mock up out of carboard to help me decide if I want the orginal design or something shorter or longer.
Yes, it would be nice to have the dimensions for the 20' and 22' side rails as they are all different.

It would also be nice to have a drawing of the grab rails which I believe are the same size for all the models but not positive.
One very important point to understand about both the side rails and the grab rails is that they are designed to cant inboard a wee bit. I believe this is noted in Larry's drawing. In general all the bends are nominally 60 degrees NOT 45 degrees as shown in Larry's drawing.
If making a segmented rail with standard 60 degree tees, the bend MUST be greater than 60 degrees to accommodate the inboard cant of the rails. I believe the actual bend is 63 or 64 degrees.
The factory grab rail bases are 24" o.c. I believe. I will confirm after measuring the rails on my Revenge WT.
My preference on my Outrage 18 was for grab rails instead of side rails, but I made my own and I made them slightly larger than factory. I have since made a couple sets more and 28" o.c. works well for the 18s.
When mounting either the side rails or the grab rails, try to keep them as far inboard as possible so they are easier to reach from inside the boat and so they will align with the vertical surface of the gunwale boards. Here is a photo showing the correct installation and cant:
You will note how the inward cant matches the design of the bow rail. This also makes it much more useful as something to lean against with your thighs. If the side rails or grab rails are mounted in the center of the gunwale boards they don't contribute any support if you lean against the gunwales.

Per LHG's request, I changed his drawing several weeks ago to show the 60ยบ correct finished angle.
Thanks for the replies. I was wondering about the 45 degree notatation. I was thinking it matched the bow rail, but had no way of confirming this. I look forward to someone chiming in with the rest of the details.
