Of all the boats I've owned, I've never changed the hull numbers before. Before I break out the razor blade, what is the easiest way to get the vinyl numbers off?

Hair dryer on medium and a plastic putty knife. Heat the letter, starting in the corner and work it. Let the heat do the work.

Clean off the adhesive with Goof-off.

If they are vinyl spray them with WD-40, this will soften the glue. I've replaced two sets over the years. With a little patience I've been able to get a corner loosened up and then slowly pull them off.

I sprayed a little windex on my Hull Numbers to get them off. it's sort of the opposite of putting on the "Boston Whaler" Logo, you need them to be able to slide around a little before you go to crazy. Good Luck!

There is a product called "Anti-Bond" that you can get at West Marine. It takes the numbers right off and leaves no residue. Good luck!

I use Dawn dish soap & water to apply the "Pressure sensative" decals. Put it in a spray bottle, soak the area, your hands and fingers. Slide graphics in place, (ooop's it's not straight, no problem, re-adjust) let dry overnight.
