MW,
You mentioned not storing a battery on a concrete, etc. floor as it will discharge.
While replacing an older battery recently, as was told in no uncertain terms that the newer batteries won't do this anymore...Being an old codger, I didn't believe the young pup...but I wonder if anyone else has heard this...?
I don't know about that, I guess if there was some type of insulation put in the bottom of the battery case, that might work. I'm thinking that "Marine Batteries" have been around a long time. Wouldn't they have thought about this before? Not exactly a new invention (insulation that is).
I always leave the marine store hoping that I have gotten the correct advice, I always try and double check with an older experienced boater, sometimes the young pups are right however, as I get older, I notice that my parents, and old codgers get smarter. Nothing beats experience.
