I have recently inherited from my father a 1966 sakonnet. It was powered with an evinrude 100hp selectric shift from 1966 which colapsed years ago. Boat is located on Geneva lake in Switzerland. Any advices about appropriate engine I should buy to replace the late evinrude?
You can obviously make your own decision but watch the weight of the engine.
The lighter the better for the most HP.
Many people are leaning towards the 90 HP Evinrude E-Tec by Bombardier.
Others who like the 4 strokes usually are putting on a 70 HP model due to the weight factor of the 4 strokes.
